Morning Boost!
Hey readers! Yes, I am enjoying all of this delicious holiday food! But sometimes, I need a break :). Just to have a burst of nutrients and energy that I can't always get from Christmas pie :). .
I call it my morning boost! Not too long ago, my father got me a Ninja Blender and it works wonders! I am up really early everyday and don't always have an appetite first thing in the morning, so I use my amazing blender every morning where I blend my fruits and veggies to start my day off right! I dabble in many different recipes but decided to share one of my favorites with all of you! It gives me energy and kicks me off the right way so that I am more apt to make healthy choices all day long! Check out the recipe below!
"Green Treat"
1 cup of kale
1 cup of pineapple
1 half lemon
1 half orange
1 banana
as much ginger as you like...I like a lot!
1 cup of ice
1 cup of filtered water
2 tbs of flax seeds
2 tbs of hemp seeds (10g protein per serving)
Finely chop up all of your ingredients, follow your blender instructions, and make alterations as needed.
Serves 2!
